RBR’s flagship European conference returns to London in May with digital banking, cash recycling and ATM software featuring prominently on the agenda
RBR’s industry-leading Self-Service Banking Europe conference and expo takes place in the Royal Lancaster London Hotel on 14th and 15th May.
The event has gained a reputation as a forum for banks, IADs, technology companies and service providers to network, learn, and share knowledge and best practice, in order to improve operations and enhance customer experience.
Senior industry executives lead a packed speaker agenda.
The two-day speaker agenda will open with thought leadership addresses from some of the most experienced and respected CEOs in the banking technology sector, including LINK’s John Howells on how to guarantee the public’s free access to cash, and NoteMachine’s Peter McNamara on the increasingly symbiotic relationship between the bank and independent ATM deployer sectors.
The banking landscape is changing fast, with disruptive technologies, branch closures, new digital competitors and changing customer behaviour all presenting challenges to established delivery models.
Michael Graham, SVP at Wells Fargo, will deliver a keynote address on how major banking groups can develop a self-service proposition fit for the competitive market of today. The accelerating pace of change theme will be continued by Joe Jensen, VP of the Internet of Things Group at Intel, who will analyse the increasing convergence of digital and physical channels.
From the ATM manufacturing sector, Reinhard Rabenstein, CTO of Diebold Nixdorf, the world’s largest ATM vendor, and Daryl Cornell, CEO of Triton, a pioneer in convenience ATMs, will contribute their unique insights into the role of technology in shaping the future of self-service banking. Kyoungwon Pyo, President and CEO of Nautilus Hyosung, will discuss how technology must maintain a balance with the human factor to remain relevant.
Digital case studies from Europe’s most innovative banks
The agenda features a diverse range of bank case studies from across Europe and beyond, with leading institutions such as Barclays, ING, Garanti Bank, Erste Bank, TSB, Piraeus Bank, Citibank and Banorte sharing their expert insights into technologies including ATM software, NFC and contactless transactions, mobile banking and cash recycling.
This year Self-Service Banking Europe will have a particular focus on the evolving role of digital banking, covering the incorporation of digital channels by traditional high street banks, the growing role of purely digital banks, and the ways in which both sectors connect digital and physical delivery channels.
Technology expo completes RBR’s flagship European event
Alongside its two-day speaker agenda, Self-Service Banking Europe 2018 will host a technology expo with exhibitors from across the world, featuring the latest self-service banking hardware, software, cash- handling devices and payment solutions.
With competition from other channels and continued pressure to reduce costs, technology innovation is key to the future of self-service banking. Over 30 exhibitors and sponsors will offer delegates the opportunity to view the latest self-service banking industry solutions first-hand*.
RBR’s Managing Director Dominic Hirsch commented: “This event has a proven track record as the key industry forum for stakeholders in the European self-service banking sector. In a challenging period for banks and their providers, Self-Service Banking Europe provides the opportunity to learn from what others are doing and develop strategies to turn challenges into opportunities”.
